What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My love of hearts inspired me to create a magical world in which kids could imagine their own "Heart" character drawings coming to life, traveling in cupcakes, and going to tea parties! What if rain was just a (rainbow) sprinkle, and sunny days made all Hearts twinkle?
This rhyming story takes readers through a dreamy land filled with cupcakes, waltzing gummy bears, glittering castles, and more, all in an enchanted Heart-themed world. The story ends with a sweet goodnight hug!
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I love hearts! Growing up, I loved drawing Heart characters – I thought it would be amazing for kids to imagine their own "Heart" drawings having an adventure in a dreamy, magical world!
Author Bio:
Sherry Dahl is the author of "The Magical Land of Hearts" and "Bubbe's Sweet Surprise." She graduated from Tufts University, where she studied Child Development and Entrepreneurial Studies. Her children’s books include themes of family, fantasy, and humor. Favorite family memories of reading bedtime stories inspired her to write a story set in the most dreamy land imaginable!
